TDI's mission is to promote diversity and inclusion in the workforce by connecting job seekers with disabilities that we have prepared for employment to businesses in the community that have a need for their unique skills, talents and abilities.
The Diversity Initiative provides comprehensive employment services for both employers and job seekers. In today’s challenging business climate, employers benefit from staff experienced in providing well-trained and motivated employees. We work with employers on identifying qualified workers, screening candidates, providing on-the-job training, and job accommodation (ADA) assistance.
Job seekers are directed by qualified and experienced staff. We work with participants on career counseling, job readiness training, job development, placement & maintenance, and job accommodation assistance. Our staff will provide suggestions on both filling out applications and coaching on how to interview for targeted positions. With your approval, we work with an employer to modify the job site and facilitate the provision of assistive devices to meet individual needs. The job seekers active involvement in job placement is important to successful employment. At the onset of them beginning to work, the Employment Consultant will continue to follow the case for a minimum of 90 days to ensure that both the job seeker and the employer are satisfied with the placement.
