TDI's mission is to promote diversity and inclusion in the workforce by connecting job seekers with disabilities that we have prepared for employment to businesses in the community that have a need for their unique skills, talents and abilities.
Finding good employees can be a difficult and expensive exercise for many businesses. Individuals with disabilities represents one of the largest underutilized talent pools in our area that can bring the same value, productivity and profitability that other diverse talent pools do, if incorporated in the right way. Some of the permanent part-time or full-time employees we have found for local businesses include nurses, teachers, IT professionals, production workers, customer service, hospitality personnel and many more.
Candidates who work with The Diversity Initiative, Inc. undergo a comprehensive intake and screening process that allows us to identify their skill sets within their job goal. We assess motivation and reliability as part of our pre-employment services. This approach maximizes long term successful solutions for both the individual and the employer, which is TDI’s ultimate goal.
